The eOne(Entertainment One) Best of the Fest Celebration in Partnership with Deadline was bright and alive on Friday, September 7, kicking off the first Friday of TIFF18 (the Toronto International Film Festival 2018) and shining a light on The Assembly Chef’s Hall. Red Carpet events and parties are a big part of the TIFF experience, and the eOne Best of the Fest Celebration was one not to miss. The red carpet was a lively and fun gateway to the eOne event. Actors, Film Industry members and special guests smiled and posed for the cameras as they entered the venue.
Dazzling dresses with beautiful designs meant that everyone was set for an evening of enjoyment, sharing TIFF experiences and making film industry connections. As stars and guests arrived on the eOne Red Carpet, it was evident that guests were there to have fun and enjoy time with film industry friends and colleagues.
The Assembly Chef’s Hall had a beautiful outdoor space, lovely bar area, and lots of room for movement, dancing, and mingling. A stage with a band providing excellent live music created a fantastic musical vibe. Although as usual, the weather turned cool on evenings for September in Toronto, some of the guests still took advantage of being outdoors, while most were indoors. Inside the Assembly Chef’s Hall, guests sampled a specialty tall refreshing drink and other drinks from the bars. A variety of delicious food from the food booths was available for tasting – which is the concept of the Assembly Chef’s Hall when open to the public. A warm atmosphere buzzing with talk, laughter, and friendship was felt, and this is what it’s all about.
Guests included actors and performers from TIFF Rising Stars, actress Laura Vandervoort, Lauren Lee Smith of CBC Frankie Drake Mysteries, Gerry Dee of Mr. D., Ruth Goodwin of Private Eyes, the cast of Workin’ Moms, Hayden Christensen of Little Italy, Vinay Virmani of Dr. Cabbie, Sarah Paxton of the Front Runner, Andrea Bang and Simu Liu of Kim’s Convenience among other talents. The youngest actor on the eOne Red Carpet was the adorable Jacob Tremblay. Also joining the eOne Red Carpet were George Stroumboulopoulos and Jagmeet Singh, Leader of the NDP. The eOne Best of the Fest Red Carpet and celebration event was filled with so much talent, excitement, and buzz for TIFF.
