The annual Toronto Vintage Clothing and Antique Show is one of the most anticipated events in Toronto for vintage clothing lovers. It is the largest vintage clothing sale in Canada, an event known to television and movie creators to search for vintage and retro clothing for their cast members. Conveniently located in the Queen Elizabeth Building in Exhibition Place, Toronto, the event is easily accessible by TTC Streetcar or there’s lots of parking on site.
With over 125 vendors, it’s a vintage shopper’s paradise! For vintage clothing lovers, it’s the chase to get that perfect find. If you miss looking through one rack, you might miss that one piece of your dreams! This year’s Toronto Vintage Show featured a beautiful collection of clothing including one of a kind jackets and coats, and unique accessories such as belts, hats, and scarves. Other items included beautiful handbags, dresses for casual events, pieces to add to an outfit or for a special occasion or to add some sparkle to your wardrobe with some fun items.
Jewellery (both costume and real) included a big selection of silver, copper and turquoise bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and pins. Funky shoes and boots were also available. Memorabilia included decorations, ornaments, dolls, toys, and teddy bears. For the home decor, there is paintings, framed artwork, statues. Relics of all kinds included silver charm bracelets complete with a medley of charms. Sporting goods included fishing gear and snowshoes, suitable for decorating a cottage. Items ranged from rustic, antique and dated from mid-century to modern. For bar decorations and the music fans – LP records and instruments were also available.
It was interesting seeing how creatively the accessories are displayed. Many belts are seen woven around an antique mannequin, charm bracelets in display cases, bringing grandma’s childhood memories back. Was grandma’s favourite toy a Teddy bear or a monkey?
