殘編人生充滿血腥事件。看到不是我的血肉會很變態的爽,所以我偏愛四、五分熟,肉質還鮮嫩稍微淌血的牛排,但跟殘編一樣的不多,所以殘編今天並沒有恥笑同行不敢吃生的友人,因為我有求於他,就是幫我這位殘障切牛排,因為我只有一隻手能動,他不敢吃生肉我只能酸言酸語損他(殘編專長)嘴巴損損他沒「睾」頭(英文「no balls」就是「沒膽」的意思)。在Stone Grill 不用怕笨廚師把你五分熟的牛排烤到「雞八分」、不,又打錯,是「七八分」。

My life is full of “”bloody events; “Final Destination” basically stole my life story. That’s probably why I get some kind of pathological excitement when I see blood coming out from my food. I like my sashimi, and my steak on the rarer side. Usually, I despise people who claim themselves “foodies” when they over cook everything, but this time at Cairns, I couldn’t. First of all, I need “a hand” since I can’t cut my steak with a single hand (btw, billion-dollar business idea!); secondly, when guests are given the opportunity to grill their own steak, there’s always a chance to “chicken out” and put your bloody steak back on the stone grill if you freak out from a bleeding steak. The most I could do is tell them they got no blood flow to their balls (oops, are they called “blue balls”?).
•多倫多Stone Grill 牛排餐廳是我第一次吃到入口即化的袋鼠肉的第方,很可惜他們已停業。現在竟來到台北!殘編當然是先衝!

The Stonegrill steakhouse in Toronto was where I first tried melt-in-my-mouth kangaroo steak. Unfortunately, the restaurant has closed its doors quite a while ago. I probably couldn’t run anymore due to my brain stroke, but learning about Stone Grill’s opening in Taipei made me hop higher than a kangaroo, and paid a visit immediately.
凱恩斯岩燒餐廳起源 / The Story of Cairns Stone Grill:
於1996年正式由澳洲引進台灣的凱恩斯岩燒餐廳,其命名源自澳洲地名,凱恩斯是座落在澳洲昆士蘭州大堡礁旁,地面上是熱帶雨林,海面下有珊瑚礁,是喜愛大自然旅行家的絕美景緻天堂。殘編先收入口袋名單囉😆
凱恩斯岩燒餐廳在台灣是由台中起家的,台中有兩家、高雄ㄧ家,台北是第4家(討厭,殘編要搬去台中了啦!)

Cairns Stone Grill is named after the travel destination Cairns, a beautiful gateway to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and a nature traveler’s paradise. I just added it to my bucket list. 😆
In Taiwan, Cairns Stonegrill Restaurant originated in Taichung, they have already expanded to 2 locations in Taichung, 1 in Kaosiung, Taipei is the 4th and newest location (seriously considering moving to Taichung now).

凱恩斯岩燒餐廳的貼心,不只提供像殘編這種本來就沒吃相、中風後還臉歪嘴斜ㄧ天到晚帶便當的人,穿全新白洋裝初次約會一吃完飯就「再(也不)見」所需要的超咖哇依紙印圍兜兜,還提供「超薄無感的」保險。。。不、是「安全套」啦!因為餐廳中的牛排都是附上400度的高溫石板給饕客自行烤,難得當自己的大廚,我們當然就點了容易被烤過頭的「美國牛肩菲力」啦!10盎司的牛排上菜時已佔據石板的面蹟,好我在400度的高溫燒燙一下就熟了,那烤出來的煙香才更是讓人高潮的味道,最利害的是店家所提供的超薄「手機安全套」不但能讓殘編這種手機控可以整餐繼續使用觸碰式螢幕、還能必免油煙玷污寶貝手機,這次殘編回家省了好多酒精棉!哈哈哈!

Cairns Stone Grill’s thoughtfulness is almost as comparable as Toronto Rehab Hospital or Toronto Western Hospital. They not only provide a cute bib for a (not limited to) post stroke survivor eater like myself who drools all over my face and ruin all my new dresses on first dates with either ketchup or grease, but also an ultra thin “condom,” cross that, I meant, a super thin touchscreen plastic bag protection for your cellphone! We tried and tested and it really works! As usual, we fed our phone like crazy and left fresh, smoke-free even after a 400-degree BBQ meal, saving me a bunch of alcohol wipes.

•配菜(生菜搭肉組)/ Lettuce for Meat Wrap:
韓式烤肉包生菜很正常,但牛排包生菜殘編也是第一次吃到,凱恩斯的生菜組有用來包岩燒肉的生菜,包括「韓國芝麻葉」/「萵巨」,還有大蒜片跟生洋蔥,殘編建議大蒜跟生洋蔥也可以在燒燙燙的岩石上烤一烤,會很香喔!

Wrapping Korean-style BBQ with lettuce is nothing new, but wrapping steak with lettuce is my first. Cairns’ lettuce bowl comes with raw sliced garlic and onions, which can be wrapped in lettuce along with the steak. I recommend stone – grilling the garlic and onions for a different taste.

• 牛排上桌時,服務生會詳細的告知客人如何依各人喜好岩燒牛排,這肉排一上岩石就瞬間燒出比異(同)性更誘人的撲鼻「費洛蒙味道,叫人如何抗拒?手掌蝦也是新鮮彈牙,完全沒有斷頭斷肢的痕跡。
When steak is served, our server carefully explains how to “rock” our steak. Once the steak is grilled, the aromas burns faster than pheromones in an instant. Irresistible.
The “jumbo shrimp” is also a fresh and bouncy with no signs of “decapitation” or “amputation.”

Many western or Japanese-style Restaurants serving set-course meal will include a palette cleanser before or in between meals. Cairns Stonegrill’s palate cleanser is a sweet and sour plum-based sorbet. The best part: our server provides free refills throughout the night!

殘編天愛看蛋汁流出來的快感,所以當然是想溫泉蛋芒果油醋沙拉啦!
沙拉所附的醬是「芒果油醋醬」,吃起來清爽無負擔,翠綠的蔬菜佐上一顆半熟溫泉蛋,切下n去ㄉㄨㄞㄉㄨㄞ後再流出蛋黃汁,殘編看了也都要噴了!☺️

Y’all know when I see egg yolk squirt, I squirt too, so of the 2 salad choices, Iust convince me choose the “JP Soft boiled egg mango vinegar salad.”
The salad comes with a “mango vinaigrette” topped with a soft boiled egg. Cutting into the egg yolk is about when I reach my G-spot.
咱們選的「爐烤洋芋鮭魚捲」,洋芋烤的甜,吃起來很像地瓜,搭配鮭魚口感更加分,上菜時盤中附上兩條水煮蘆筍和蘑菇,清爽又滿足,是很特別的一道料理。

Our “Roasted mashed potatoes salmon roll” appetizer is prepared with salmon and mashed potatoes, salmon and served eith boiled asparagus and mushrooms. Potatoes are cooked to a sweetness similar to a sweet potato. The dish tastes very natural and unique.
凱恩斯的上菜順序比較不一樣,湯品是主菜後上,他們的酥皮也很特別,是兩層的「螺旋脆皮」,可以當餅乾吃,也可以直接讓泡湯吃,但因為主餐的份量實在很大的號我們就選了「山藥雞肉丸子清湯」,口味非常清爽自然。

Cairns has a unique order of serving, the soup is served after the main course. Since the meat is already flavorful enough, we opt for the the (seemingly) healthier & lighter “yam chicken meat ball broth” of the 2 soup options (“Cream porcini mushroom cream purée” or “yam chicken meat ball broth”). Our server recommended us to upgrade our soup with a puff pastry for an additional $50 NT. Cairns ‘ puff -pastry is one of their signatures, the double-layered spiral pastry can be eaten like a crispy biscuit snack or soaked into the soup. Our “Yam Chicken Meatball Soup”, tastes very light and natural.

「精緻奢華套餐」的甜點包跨2選一的「宇治茶道級抹茶乳酪 」或「季節水果雪酪 」,因為凱恩斯岩燒餐廳一餐下來的「鹹濕」味已讓我們夠滿足了,所以就點了沒有負擔的「季節水果雪酪」甜甜嘴;沒想到連裝清純的甜點,還是有驚喜的,下面居然有一餐超脆的餅乾,讓我們「時尚高潮」到最後一刻!有人說射ㄧ次等於狂奔400公尺,殘編各人雖然覺得是屁,但我還活得好好的,就算不是屁也是狗屎吧?反正中風風病人本來就該多復健運動嘛!(開玩笑的啦!殘編還是會乖乖復健的❤️)
