Hawaii:

Our journey begins in Hawaii, where we land on the Big Island of Hawaii. After checking into the luxurious Mauna Lani resort on the Kohala Coast, we enjoy sunset cocktails and get to know our fellow travellers over a gourmet dinner. The next day, we are learning about conservation efforts for endangered Hawaiian monk seals and exploring the unique volcanic landscape shaped by the Kilauea and Mauna Loa volcanoes. Hawaii is setting the tone for adventure and discovery to come on this once-in-a-lifetime trip around the world.

Fiji:
We then cross the International Dateline en route to Fiji, landing in Nadi, where we are welcomed by traditional drummers. The next day offers activities like exploring the colourful coral ecosystems teeming with 2,000+ fish species, and playing a round of golf at the scenic Natadola Bay course or indulging in a relaxing spa treatment. We are dining on the beach, serenaded by a live band that evening. Fiji is a pure tropical paradise.

Tasmania:
Touching down in Hobart, Tasmania, we enjoy sweeping waterfront views from our hotel, then spend the next day discovering Freycinet Peninsula’s Wineglass Bay by helicopter before meeting wombats and devils up close at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Further exploration includes a private boat cruise spotting seals and dolphins off Bruny Island or going behind the scenes at a raptor refuge. A private dinner at MONA gallery is rounding out our time in this scenic southern island state of Australia, rich with nature.

Indonesia:
A short flight takes us to the stunning island of Bali, Indonesia, where we check into the beautiful Jumeirah Bali Hotel. The following day includes a morning speedboat ride to pristine Komodo National Park, home to the mighty Komodo dragon, and free time to relax at our Bali resort. We enjoyed a farewell dinner and cultural performance on our final evening, preparing to depart for Sri Lanka the next day.

Sri Lanka:
Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, we experience a traditional welcome ceremony before checking into our tented lodge surrounded by lush greenery. The highlight is an early morning game drive through nearby Yala National Park in search of leopards, sloth bears and elephants in their natural habitat – this sight does not disappoint! Dressed in traditional batik sarongs that evening, we savour our final dinner in Sri Lanka under the stars.

Mauritius:
Our jet then flies us to the idyllic tropical island of Mauritius, where we are basing ourselves at the exquisite Oberoi Beach Resort fronting Turtle Bay on the west coast. We explore Black River Gorges National Park, teeming with rare endemic species, touring the colorful capital of Port Louis and discovering the geological wonder of Seven Coloured Earths. Mauritius provides the quintessential island escape with its turquoise waters, beaches and lush rainforests.

Another charter flight is transporting us deep into the unfenced Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia, one of Africa’s largest riverine wildlife sanctuaries. Here, we spot massive elephant herds, lions, leopards and hippos on game drives, canoe rides and walking safaris along the banks of the Zambezi River. The North and South Luangwa National Parks of Zambia are renowned for their diversity of wildlife, and we are not disappointed.

Brazil:
Flying west, we land in the lively colonial city of Salvador, Brazil, tucked within the picturesque Bay of All Saints. Here, we explore the cultural sites, enjoying a percussion performance and cooking class, and then capping it off with an immersive dinner show. The rhythms and flavours of Bahian culture are coming alive during our time in Salvador.

The Amazon:
Our most anticipated destination is the Amazon Rainforest, where we are boarding our luxury river cruiser, the M/V Grand Amazon, for a 3-night journey along the river, spotting pink river dolphins, jungle hikes and local communities. Expert guides are bringing the incredible biodiversity of this habitat to life through engaging talks and activities. Our final dinner onboard with live music and entertainment is a fitting celebration of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
