在天母的一個月雖然是住院,但對殘編來說簡直是天堂,除了處處都有外國人外,附近的SOGO百貨也有知名加拿大品牌Roots的專櫃,殘編也在逛SOGO時一外發線一家超好吃的卡布里喬莎義大利餐廳,先來看看時尚高潮的YT食記影片吧:

Although I was “behind the bars (hospitalized)” during my 1-month stay in Tianmu, Taipei,it has truely been a haven for me. I see foreigners everywhere, I hear English more than Chinese, and the nearby SOGO department store also has a location for our own Canadian brand, Roots! , I also discovered the overwhelmingly good Capricciosa Italian Restaurant while I was at it.
得知Roots新出了台灣版系列的衣服,(根本就是為了殘編而設計的啊!)原本是衝著想手刀搶先買這一系列的Roots直接穿上大搖大擺的走在街上而去的,但是到SOGO時肚子已在抗議了,只好先去覓食。

After learning about Roots’ new line “Taiwan Day Collection,” and Taiwan Day just happens to be my Lunar birthday; I’ve decided that the collection is custom- designed for me, “Root! Root”!
The plan is to get a full wardrobe and strut down the streets in Tianmu like a bad Canadian ass (sorry, I meant “nice” Canadian ass); but by the time we arrive SOGO, our stomachs were already growling, so we head to 8F for food, gotta feed the baby first.
SOGO美食街雖然很多攤位,但是可以好好坐下來慢食的餐廳並不多,都來到了百貨公司了,誰還想人擠人?喜歡吃西餐的殘編就選了去過的沒去過的卡布里喬莎義大利餐廳(Cappricciosa)
結果餐廳品質出乎意料,礙於殘編的門禁,最後雖沒時間逛到Roots,但是肚子大人開心了,我們也就心滿意足的離場。

If you know anything about Taiwanese department store food courts, they are fantastic. The space transforms our famous night markets indoors with A/C,
However, they can be just as busy and fast-paced too. We didn’t come all the way to this fancy mall to get “dick dragged” like in 9JKL. Restaurant options aren’t many at SOGO Tianmu’s location. As a fan of western food, we opt for Capricciosa Italian Restaurant that we’ve never tried before, and it turns out to be overwhelmingly “Buono”! Unfortunately, we didn’t get enough time to visit Roots because we were too carried away by the food and forgot about hospital curfew, but Capricciosa made sure we still left happy and satisfied.
因為殘編比較龜毛,太多奶油或橄欖油(在義大利吃怕了)的東西都不敢吃,服務人員得知後不但沒有不耐煩,更是特別照料,只要有用到奶油的菜色都會事先詢問我們O不OK,深怕我是有過敏原,很有國外水準的感覺

I’m terrified of too much cream or olive oil (traumatized since Italy), and our server took special care of us after learning about my preferences. She double checks the ingredients of our orders carefully.
我們點了一份8oz的「菲力牛排」 ($680)+「套餐」 ( $875) 、一份「溫野菜」( $160)、一份「奶香起士焗烤田螺」($160)
(“escargots in garlic butter sauce and cheese”)和「溫沙拉」($160nt)跟一個「瑪格麗特披薩」($320)。
菜單中其中一道其中一道「松露燉飯佐溫泉卵」,「松露控」+愛吃蛋蛋的殘編看到就超嗨的,但因為這道奶油用比較多,服務生建議我們不要點,我們就選不敗款義大利經典的「瑪格麗特披薩」($320)

We ordered an “8oz filet mignon” ($680) + set ($875), a “warm salad” ($160), an ” “escargots in garlic butter sauce and cheese”($160nt)
One of the items on the menu is “Porcini risotto mixed with truffle with soft-boiled egg ($480).”Truffles and “squirting egg-yolks” are both my jam that gives me food orgasms, reading the menu alone gives me an erection excitement; but since our server strongly advised us against ordering the heavy-cream-loaded dish, we choose the classic & (usually) safe “Pizza Margherita”($320nt).

Risotto is prepared with real firm risotto rice, so none of the Taiwanese mushy cra rice. Ordering the set meal will affect the serving size of the risottos, but the steak portions remain the same.
Salad options included in the set include a “classic Caesar salad” or “marinated calamari and tuna salad.”
When our server suggested us to get our steak medium-rare, we knew the quality would be good.
“Caesar Salad” is sprinkled with croutons and bacon and served with a classic caesar dressing.
The page after mains on the menu reads “Gourmet food takes time, have an appetizer first,” so we obeyed and ordered a “warm salad” ($160) and an ” “escargots in garlic butter sauce and cheese”($160nt)
溫沙拉是一盤溫熱的蔬菜,裡面有玉米筍、紅蘿蔔、紅黃椒和花椰菜。

As the name suggests, “warm salad” is a plate of warm veggies, including baby corn, carrot, red and yellow peppers and broccoli.
田螺是用香蒜奶油去烤的,ㄧ份有六顆,上面鋪滿滿滿的一層烤起士,不趕快趁熱吃的話會像影片中一樣「硬起來」哦!

Escargots are baked with garlic butter and served in six per order, covered with a full layer of cheese. You’d want to eat them all before the cheese gets hard like in our video above.
套餐所附的「凱撒沙拉」算是「陽春版」的,除了生菜上述所說的切丁麵包和培根碎以外,附上兩片稍微烤過的麵包,可以沾上套餐所附的「玉米濃湯」一起食用。

The Caesar salad that comes with the set is a “no-frills” edition. Besides the aforementioned croutons and bacon bits, 2 pieces of slightly toasted bread are served with the salad. I recommend dipping them in the corn soup.
Cappricciosa的「菲力牛排」是使用澳洲牛(AUS),肉質鮮嫩,3分熟所烤出來的是肉質鮮紅又嫩好切,但不淌血,入口時跟Red Bull一樣,好吃到給我一雙翅膀,讓殘編「飛高高」的感覺,上菜時牛排幫我們切3塊,配上石板上附上三坨能幫牛排提味的沾料:「海鹽」、「玫瑰鹽」、和「海苔乾」,饕客可以依自己喜好沾著吃,但因肉質好,其實不沾任何東西也夠味,但是不管沾哪一種都是驚為天人的美味就讓殘編「潮潮」了。另附有3塊切半的炸馬鈴薯跟一碗青菜,包括玉米筍、紅蘿蔔、黃綠節瓜個一片、跟一顆小蕃茄,為這道菜色添加色彩。

Capricciosa‘s “grilled fillet steak” is prepared with Australian beef (AUS). The meat is fresh and tender. Medium-rare gives it a beautiful flesh red colour and tender texture, but not bloody; the taste is perfect for the cut. A bite gives you wings and sends you to heaven like Red Bull. The steak is cut into 3 pieces when served; and the dish is served with three kinds of seasoning including: “sea salt,” “Himalayan salt,” and “dried seaweed”. The superb steak quality doesn’t require much seasoning, but a little tap in any of the three brings out a whole new taste that will blow your mind . Sides include 3 pieces of deep-fried potatoes cut in halfs and a bowl of veggies, including baby corn, a slice of zucchini & yellow squash, and a carrot.
碗裡裝著滿滿的玉米,用料豪邁。

卡布里喬莎的披薩雖說是用薄皮做的,但其實餅皮厚度介於義大利的傳統薄皮比薩跟台灣不知道哪理蹦出來的厚皮比薩之間上菜時廚房已幫我們切8塊,櫻桃蕃茄、莫札瑞拉起士和青醬。

The pizza crust is somewhere between a traditional Italian thin-crust pizza & a “who-the-hell-invented this” thick-crust pizza in Taiwan. toppings include cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and pesto.
卡布里喬莎雖然是義大利餐廳,但是他們的的牛排真的是太讚了!殘編強力推薦饕客們一起來品嚐這道,還有服務是可以讓帶著各種過敏原的客人可以放心把自己交給他,在麼細心呵護照料之下,您再怎麼吃也不怕「喔依噢依」搭救護車去附近的榮總醫院啦!

Capricciosa might be labelled as an “Italian restaurant,” their steak is over-the-top. I strongly recommend you to give it a try. Guests with allergies can also have a slow and relaxing nice meal; you’re in good hands and won’t need an ambulance to go to the nearby Veterans General Hospital.
