第一屆時尚高潮加拿大日趴 First FE Oh! Canada Day Event

前天晚上，時尚高潮將加拿大精神完完整整的帶進台北的Shotia酒吧。

七月一日，是加拿大的國慶日（Canada Day)，時尚高潮為慶祝加拿大國慶，舉辦第一屆「時尚高潮加拿大日趴」，目的在讓台灣的加拿大人和外國人與本地人會聚一堂，為身在異鄉的朋友們建立一個友善的空間、並為大家創造一個有「家」感覺的夜晚。

Canada Day spirit was in full swing at Shotia Shots and Champagne Taipei on Sunday for Fashion Ecstasy’s first annual FE Oh! Canada Day! Celebration. As Editor-in-Chief, I created the event myself in hopes of bringing all fellow Canadians and foreigners who reside in Taiwan together with the locals and build a friendly community that feels like home.

時尚高潮加拿大日趴的故事起源( FE Oh! Canada Day Story)…

殘編返台近兩年，但是對於台灣的一切都還不習慣。殘缺的身軀杵在台灣，心卻還在加拿大，那裡是我心靈深處的家。殘編白目的個性與這裡的世界隔隔不入。去年的這一天，殘編因爲忍不住這種異鄉的孤獨感，而努力尋找與加拿大日相關的活動。當我看到加拿大商會在「客家文化中心」舉辦「加拿大國慶節」活動時，二話不說獨自前往。一年前的殘編比現在更殘，不論更衣、行動都是很耗時間和精力的考驗。當時花了二、三個小時「長途跋涉」，終於把這具腐爛的死屍硬拖到目的地。抬頭看到掛在門口的紅白旗時，不禁眼框泛「紅」。心想：「我終於在漫長的一年後，可以見到同鄉」。正興奮想進去時，天空突然下起傾盆大雨，泛紅的眼眶瞬間變成了壞掉的水籠頭，嘩啦嘩啦地淚滿襟。那是室外活動。我只好打道回府，因為我只有一隻好手，拿了拐杖就拿不了雨傘。今年我發誓讓悲劇不再發生。

As you may or may not know, it’s been almost two years since I have relocated from Canada to Taiwan, but I still have a hard time to adapt to the culture. My useless handicapped body may be in Taiwan, but my heart is still in Canada. Last year, I went all the way to Hakka Culture Park when I learned about the Canada 150 Celebration event that was supposed to take place there. I wasn’t able to move or walk as firm as I can now, so it took me about two to three hours to drag this rotting corpse there. My eyes started to tear up when I finally arrived and saw the red and white flag hanging at the entrance. Just when I was about to walk in to finally meet some other (hopefully, likeminded) fellow Canadians in Taiwan, it started to pour rain. My teared up eyes then turn into a broken water faucet. The Event was an outdoor event. My only option was to go home since I only had one good hand to hold my cane and the other is too useless to carry an umbrella. I swore to myself never to let the tragedy happen again.

今年的「時尚高潮加拿大日趴」將全台各地的加拿大人和各國朋友聚集在同一個空間，包括了從加拿大、蘇格蘭、以及台中、桃園等地方遠道而來的貴賓。

禮物—加拿大國旗，並享用了時尚高潮灑滿花瓣的ＶＩＰ迎賓香檳。

This year, Canadian and friends from across Taiwan and the world including Canada, Scotland, Taichung, Taoyuan, all came to Taipei to gather for this special event. The venue was already packed with Fashion Ecstasy’s VIP guests when Shotia opened its doors at 5:30 pm. Early guests received a Canadian flag and enjoyed Fashion Ecstasy’s VIP welcome champagne on the ground floor before heading downstairs to the VIP booths which was set up exclusively for FE Oh! Canada Day.

貴賓為了應景，身著紅白衣服（殘編則直接將紅白國旗當披風:p)，加拿大國旗的顏色是紅白色。每位貴賓用紅色麥克風致詞後，開心的飲酒作樂。六點一到，場內開始播放加拿大國歌「Ｏh! Canada」，所有貴賓也肅立齊聲高唱加拿大國歌。工作人員端出Likcey’s 為時尚高潮精心訂製的「加拿大國旗」立體訂製蛋糕，中間的楓葉是新鮮的紅奶油製作的，約有三吋高，奶油下面是紮實的黑森林蛋糕，與上面軟綿綿的奶油很搭配。新鮮的奶油吃進嘴裡完全沒有油膩的感覺。

Guests were encouraged to dress in red and white, colours of the Canadian flag, and had the opportunity to speak with the red microphone aligning with the theme. At 6:30 pm, Shotia’s lounge music was changed into the Canadian National anthem while an awesome 3-dimensional Canadian flag cake by Likcey’s with sparklers was brought down for attendees to enjoy.

加拿大官方語言有兩種：英文和法文。因此播完英文版，接著播放法文版的加拿大國歌，這時Shotia 端出了他們稱霸全台北的Shots 組合，這次是「天國的階梯」：

The venue played both English and French versions, the two official languages of Canada. After the French version was sung, a server brought down another one of Shotia’s mind-blowing shot towers; this one is called “Tian Guo de Jie Ti,” which literally translates to “stairway to heaven.”

一杯杯閃著彩色燈光的美酒繞著「旋轉梯」，直到最上面插滿乾燥花、冒著煙的「巴黎鐵塔」。平常這種組合的上層是以香檳呈現，為了配合法文版的加拿大國歌，這晚的「天國的階梯」是通往法國的「巴黎鐵塔」，而這鐵塔本身也是裝滿Shotia美味調酒的杯子，插滿乾燥花還冒著煙，給人有置身巴黎的浪漫氣氛。每位貴賓品嚐了什麼是通往天國的滋味後，還享用了各種Shotia 的創意調酒，包括以「春、夏、秋、冬」四季作為靈感的香檳特調。

美酒當然少不了美食，捨不得離開的朋友們繼續享用烤物拼盤、炸物拼盤、以及墨西哥脆餅搭配Shotia 自製的莎莎醬。

English version:

Flashing colourful Shots are placed on the spiral “stairway” from bottom to top until it reaches Eiffel Tower, which is another glass of Shotia’s delicious cocktail. normally, the top of this tower is a regular champagne. To align with the French version of O Canada, the champagne was replaced with France’s Eiffel Tower. Other creative drinks included four-season inspired cocktails: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. With a drink in hand, hungry guests lined up to get a piece of the maple leaf flag cake. The maple leaf is made with fresh red cream and piled up to about three inches high. The cake cuts into a solid, Black Forest cake which goes well with the fresh whipped cream. Afterwards, guests enjoyed BBQ platter with bbq chicken wings, bbq chicken butt skewers, bbq corn, bbq fish cakes and nachos with Shotia’s house-made salsa.
