That’s why we never get bored of coming back to this diamond in the Californian crown, especially when it comes to enjoying a romantic dinner date.

Of course, finding somewhere that sets the scene in this city isn’t exactly hard. Picturesque backdrops, three-hundred-and-sixty-five days of perfect weather and an ambiance that had defined sexy since way before screen sirens started flocking here. What is hard, however, is picking somewhere from a menu packed full of irresistible choice.
So, without further ado, here is our list of romantic restaurants you absolutely need to stop by, even if it’s just to soak up the views, lap up the waves and enjoy the food.
1. NYC Vibes At The NoMad Mezzanine
Most people that spend time in both LA and NYC tend to favour one or the other, which is what makes the NoMad Hotel so refreshing. It brings New York fun to the sultry city of LA, and it does it with real style. Located in one of the most historic buildings, where the Bank of Italy once was, diners get seated upstairs, giving them the most magical top-down view of this building. You’ll see ornate ceilings, gold-kissed details and a bathroom that’s located in the old bank vault. Cool, very cool.
2. Dinner With A View At Le Troquet
The most amazing eateries are always the ones that don’t try too hard. This one knows how to set the right ambiance is and gives you a view across the ocean in Santa Monica, which just so happens to be the case with Le Troquet, a signature part of the JW Marriott Santa Monica Le Merigot. It’s gorgeously casual; the cocktails are more innovative than Elton John’s dress sense in the seventies and, just to drop a cherry on top, you can enjoy a cozy dinner by the outdoor fireplace. What’s more, you can stay upstairs. Mammy.
3. Never Miss Out On Nobu
This restaurant might well have it all. Seriously. It’s got the breath-snatching ocean view, sushi as fancy as a Ferrari, a celebrity chef in the kitchen and everything you could need to enjoy a dinner with the wow-factor. Don’t get us wrong, it’s not cheap, not by a long shot, and yet it is worth absolutely every penny. But the best part is, you’ll not once think about the price, not once, not while marinated black cod melts in your mouth and the sun sets on the far side of the waves. It’s magical.
4. Redbird Will Blow You Away
This is another visual heart-stopping culinary masterpiece located in downtown. The Redbird restaurant has everything you could need to enjoy a romantic dinner, something that is really exaggerated thanks to its setting inside a historic rectory, complete with retractable roof and a menu so innovative you won’t know where to start.
