最近殘編病得兇,吃東西要很小心,盡量關在家裡吃,但是上次五花馬開箱試吃讓人回味無窮,所以這週二訪,可是賣命解饞。殊不知在短短一週內,他們的菜單已有更新了!這次多了很多垂涎三尺的小菜,以下殘編為粉絲們一一介紹,至於廚師有沒有換,我就不清楚了。

I have been very ill lately, so I need to be extremely careful about what I eat and the intake in my body. I try to eat as much as possible at home to avoid unnecessary and likely toxic additives. However, I can’t stop thinking about last week’s open box review for Wuhuama, and I guess as a foodie, my willpower isn’t as strong as I think when it comes to food. So, I made a revisit to Wuhuama for more. Who knows? Wuhuama‘s menu and options have been updated in just one week! There are many more mouth-watering side dishes this time, and I’ll review each one below. As for whether the chef has changed, I don’t know.
因為上次的「港式蘿蔔糕」口味獨特,讓人朝思暮想、念念不忘,當然是要回購一下啦!不知道廚師是否有換過,這次的蘿蔔糕較上次更軟爛,上色是均勻的褐色,沒有上次焦黑的那塊。服務人員在點餐時還特地介紹說它們家蘿蔔糕是無添加防腐劑的,所以再加一分。

Because Wuhuama‘s “Hong Kong-style turnip cake” was so yummy and unique last time, I had to order it again. As I said, I’m not sure if the chef has changed, but this time, the turnip cake is softer than the last time. The colour is also different from last week. This week’s turnip cake is coloured evenly brownish throughout, and there is no crispy burnt black part. When ordering, the staff emphasized that their turnip cakes are preservative-free, so that’s an extra point.
外帶菜單上這品項是標明「酸辣湯水餃」,讓人誤以為是空前的酸辣湯口味的水餃,因此點點看,回家開箱後才知道是整整一碗的酸辣湯餃。跟其他菜色一樣,五花馬的酸辣湯餃也是走清淡路線。殘媽覺得可惜因為酸辣湯就是要吃酸又辣才過癮,所以這道是唯一讓她稍些失望的一道菜,殘編倒是覺得它獨具風味、淡淡清香,還不錯吃。它的酸辣湯餃包餃子的製作過程看得出來有下功夫,泡了很久竟還乖乖原型呈現,絲毫沒有散開的跡象。裡面的湯餃跟五花馬其它水餃品項一樣,水餃皮比一般大片的多。喜歡吃水餃皮的饕客可以細細品嚐水餃皮在嘴裡滑嫩咕溜咕溜的麵皮香。

The take-out menu for this item reads “hot and sour soup dumplings,” leading us to think that they’re hot and sour soup-flavoured dumplings. However, when we did the openbox, it was just the regular “Hot and Sour Dumpling Soup,” which is dumplings in “Hot and Sour Soup.” Like Wuhuama‘s other dishes, Wuhuama‘s “Hot and Sour Dumpling Soup” is lighter than the usual “Hot and Sour Soup.” While my mom thinks it’s tasteless, I liked the natural flavours and faint fragrances that make it unique. We can tell from the open box that these dumplings are carefully wrapped by well-trained professionals with a lot of hard work. Even after being soaked for a long time in the soup, the dumplings survived all the road bumps and remained entirely intact. The dumplings inside the soup are the same as Wuhuama‘s other dumplings: the dumpling wrappers are much larger than average. Foodies who like to eat dumpling skins can enjoy the texture of the smooth and silky dumpling skins slipping down your throat while the doughy fragrance circulates in the mouth.
五花馬的鹹蛋苦瓜口味獨特,鹹蛋比市面上售得清淡的多,另殘編嚴重懷疑是他們自家做的,很特別。

Wuhuama‘s “Bitter Gourd with Salted Egg” has a unique taste. The salted egg is much lighter than the ones sold on the market. To a point, I highly suspect Wuhuama farms and produces their own salted eggs. It is exceptional.
芋頭本人就好吃,所以喜歡原始原味的五花馬自然也就採清蒸烹飪,讓人吃進原始原味的芋頭香,也讓殘編吃的讚不絕口!

Taro is delicious on its own, so naturally, Wuhuama stays true to its style and simply steams this dish. Enjoy the natural and original flavours of the taros, yum!
蓮藕簡單地用少許的辣椒跟大蒜清炒,口感超新鮮脆口。

Lotus root is simply prepared with a little chilli and garlic, and the texture is super fresh and crispy.
