The 2023 Canadian International Auto Show is held from Feb 17 to Feb 26 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). This year is the 50th Anniversary of the show, and the theme is “Mobility Reimagined.” It was a successful event with a record attendance of 56,000 on Feb 19 alone. Auto fans have come out to see the latest in cars from their favourite brands.

On the day of our visit, we had the chance to see the first Canadian Electric Concept car, Project Arrow, led by Flavio Volpe, President of the AMPA (Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association). This car has zero emissions, is sleek in design and has the latest advanced technologies. The beauty of it being created by Canadian auto parts manufacturers is developing technologies that automakers can use worldwide. Hon. Francois-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, The Hon. Vic Fedell, Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, and The Hon. Filomena Tassi, Minister Responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, was present for the launch of Project Arrow.

The Automotive Journalists Association of Canada ( AJAC) announced onstage the winner of the 2023 Canadian Car of the Year, BMWi4 and the 2023 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year, Hyundai Ioniq 5. President and Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Auto Canada Corp, Don Romano, accepted the award.

加拿大汽車記者協會(AJAC)在舞台上宣佈了 2023年加拿大年度汽車獲勝者 BMWi4 以及2023年加拿大年度多功能車獲勝者的現代汽車（Hyundai） Ioniq 5 。由現代汽車加拿大公司總裁兼首席執行官 Don Romano 接受此獎。

There is so much to see at the show this year. There are several exciting electric and alternative fuel cars launched to the public. Hyundai‘s RN22e made its debut as an electric vehicle. The N Vision 74 is the first hydrogen-hybrid vehicle.

The other brands on display include Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Subaru, Genesis, Toyota, GMC, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Wagoneer, Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Vinfast, Buick, Chevrolet, Tesla and Roshel.
We had the opportunity to drive the Sarit, the Micro-Mobility Vehicle that will be on the streets of Toronto in the near future.
There also was the EV test drive track to drive some of the electric vehicles as well.

The Lego Group is debuting their life-size Technic Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 made from 400,000 Lego Technic parts.
Cobble Beach Classics has its 75 year of Porsche exhibition.

Auto Exotica has collectible cars from Barrett-Jackson auctions, Autostrada Canadian collectors and Caravaggio Corvettes.

At Camp Jeep, we got to ride and experience firsthand the abilities of the Jeeps to handle steep inclines and steps. It was very thrilling to experience.
