They have now expanded into the Canadian retail market, offering their high-quality products at a price that won’t break the bank. In celebration of this expansion, JUSTICE Professional Haircare launched an exclusive, media-only event featuring one-on-one consultations and styling sessions. This was an opportunity to meet the team behind the brand and experience the new products in person. I attended this party on Thursday, April 17th, on behalf of Fashion Ecstasy and had a marvellous time, which I’m excited to share with you. The event’s excitement, new discoveries, and sense of community made it a truly memorable experience.

The One-on-One Consultation and Styling Session
Over a plate of delectable hors d’oeuvres, I carefully read the ingredients list on their Heat Protectant Protein+ Spray. As someone who has been heat styling their hair since elementary school, I’ve tried many different heat protectants, ranging from those worth the money to those that left me unimpressed. What makes this heat protectant different is that it contains hydrogenated castor oil and Panthenol. Hydrogenated Castor Oil hydrates the hair and locks in the moisture, while Panthenol adds shine and improves manageability. Combine the two, and you have a product that deeply penetrates the hair down to the cuticle layer to protect, moisturize, and prevent hair breakage. It’s a worthy foe for the damage that comes with frequent heat styling. And the best part? It’s affordable.
I was apprehensive prior to the consultation and styling. First, I didn’t have a particular hairstyle in mind. Second, I’ve had less-than-ideal experiences with hair stylists in the past that left me and my strands feeling misunderstood and less-than-respected. Third, my hair at that point had some product in it. Not much, just hair gel around my edges and a quarter-size of Blue Magic throughout the hair.
Thankfully, my time in the styling chair was not only informative but also a fun and positive experience from start to finish. My consultation began with my introduction to Chris and Rumi, stylists and members of the JUSTICE Professional Haircare team. During our time, he listened intently as I gave him a brief rundown of my hair history. After quickly doing a scalp check, he recommended two products from JUSTICE’s Smooth & Groom Collection that would work best for my hair type. The first product was the Smooth & Groom Wearable Treatment, a daily leave-in conditioner that works to provide instant smoothness and shine with a lightweight finish. The second was the Smooth & Groom 2 Phase “Nourish Shot,” a daily spray-in treatment that contains Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and avocado oil. Both ingredients help repair hair damage, while avocado oil-rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins-offers numerous benefits for healthy hair, including hydration, frizz reduction, and improved manageability. This positive experience left me excited and eager to try the recommended products.
As soon as Chris applied the Wearable Treatment to my hair, I was immediately charmed by its light, floral and citrus-forward scent. I was also impressed by the noticeable reduction in my flyaways. Moments before we started styling, just as Chris was about to lift up the curling iron, Rumi eagerly stepped in and said, “We don’t have to give her curls, you know.”
At that moment, I had a strong feeling that we were about to go in a completely new and exciting hair direction – and I was here for it! For the rest of the consultation, I gave him full creative control of my hair and even told him to have fun styling it. That minor act of bravery led to one of the best hairstyles in my hair history. Throughout the styling session, I quietly observed the way both products held up against the high heat of an iron or a blow dryer. I also studied Rumi’s flat iron techniques and memorized every twist and turn so I could replicate the style at home. In the end, I looked in the mirror and marvelled at my new quick bob, featuring a heavy bang, textured pieces, and a glass-like shine. I actually thought to myself, “Is this really my hair? There’s no way that I can look this good with these greys!” It was smooth, it was soft, it smelled really nice, and it erased ten years from my face. And as for my grey strands? Expertly concealed like a hidden secret. It was fabulous, and I looked fabulous too. I thanked the talented Rumi for his time and expertise and went closer to the mirror to admire my amazing new ‘do.

Everyone I spoke to after my styling session complimented me on my new hair. Whenever I glimpsed myself in the mirror, I could not stop admiring and touching my new hair. Immediately after the event, I met up with my partner for date night, and his eyes lit up when he saw my new hairdo. At one point, he even cried tears of happiness because he could not believe how beautiful I looked.
