Glo Communications Bask-it-style 2022 Gifting Lounge During TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival)

GLO Communications held their 12th Annual 2022 Bask-It-Style gifting lounge during Toronto’s International Film Festival (TIFF) week, and we got a chance to visit, just like the celebrities get to do.
Yup, it’s that time of the year again. TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) 2022 ran from September 8th to September 18th and was packed with award-winning film screenings, industry workshops, and star-studded events. At this year’s TIFF, we spotted Lee Jung-Jae of Netflix‘s viral show Squid Game, Rosamund Pike of Gone Girl, and Kit Harington, better known as the best big brother, Jon Snow, among many other Hollywood stars. Goddess Natalie Portman returned, looking like she hasn’t aged a day since we last saw her in 2015’s TIFF Soiree. With so much going on, GLO Communications‘ Annual Bask-It-Style gifting lounge is one of the best things that can happen during the festival for us to sit back, relax, and take a breather while enjoying being pampered.
Held at Toronto‘s Fairmont Royal York, the Bask-It-Style 2022 gifting lounge had many exciting brands and products. It was fun meeting their representatives and discovering what’s new this season.
Kit and Ace was our first stop and is a Vancouver-based brand with stores across Canada. They showed us their new Vegan Outwear collection for men and women. These coats are super warm and definitely can handle harsh winters. They are made with Vegan Down and insulated with Recycled Primaloft. And they look super stylish as well.
Our next stop is Ren Premium Vodka, made in Ontario when you want something refreshing to drink. “Ren” means “to be reborn.” From the look of this crystal clear drink in the exquisite bottle (decorated with the phoenix), it represents its name felicitously. This new hand-crafted spirit is made from a blend of sweet corn, grain and citrus. Ren provided their recipe for their Dirty Martini: 2.5 oz of Ren Vodka, 0.5 oz of Olive Juice, and 0.25 oz of Dry Vermouth. Stir all together with lots of ice. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with three olives. Perfection!
Another Canadian brand at the lounge was David’s Tea, a favourite of Canadians who appreciate quality loose-leaf tea. They have so many delicious choices of flavours. Lounge attendees got to experience their Organic Cream of Earl Grey, Wild Grown Roobios, complete with their tea filters, measuring spoon and mini holographic black tumbler.
Toronto Popcorn is not your random popcorn! This creative brand makes gourmet popcorn in a variety of unique flavours. Toronto Popcorn is known for its many combinations, including their Bacon /Cheddar and Garlic/Parmesan flavours, which guests got to take home to sample, making the best complement to any movie night at home.
SodaStream has been a staple of households for years, and they have now come out with their newest machines to make sparkling drinks. The SodaStream Terra, Art, and Duo models are sleek and performance-oriented. The Terra is very convenient to use with a more ergonomic carbonating button. The Art offers a more personalized experience with its unique carbonating lever allowing one to create a customized drink with levels of fizz and flavours. The Duo is the first machine compatible with the glass carafe and the carbonating bottle. We got to take and try the My Only Bottle (still or sparkling to go).
Soo’AE Beauty is a K-Beauty skincare line for those who appreciate innovative, cruelty-free, and plant-based products. Some quality ingredients they use are charcoal, hyaluronic acid and Phyto collagen. Their popular Hydrogel face masks come in various choices, including Black Charcoal, Rose Petal, Supreme Gold and Cactus+Aloe. Their super cool My Collagen Hydrogel Lip Patch helps rejuvenate and soften. Their Hyaluronic Acid products: Cleanser, Hydrating Serum and Hydrating Moisturizer, are a must to get one’s face ready for the day.
Pascoe has been around for 125 years; Pascoe was the first in Germany and now worldwide. Their line of natural healthcare products is made from top ingredients, and many are vegan. They have a variety of all-natural supplements, such as Vitapas B complex, Vitapas D, Pascoflair (herbal sleep aid) and Aronia antioxidants. Their homeopathic Lymphdiaral drainage cream helps with swelling and inflammation, and their Vitamin C Serum is designed for the face and neck.
L’Oreal Paris provided their Elnett Hairspray, Voluminous Noir Balm Mascara and lipstick to further beautify everyone.
Noon& Night CBD/Melatonin Nitecaps are a natural way to relax, especially when it is tough to get some sleep. The CBD is extracted from Ontario-grown flowers, and the soft gels are sugar-free.
Matt and Nat provided their vegan leather bag made from recycled materials and cruelty-free, and Brown’s gave attendees a reusable shopping bag.
We left the lounge with our hands full of these beautiful products that make lives so much better.
